It is a variety of late budding and flowering and medium-late ripening period. Agriculturally, it is slightly sensitive to dry periods, and productive, although the grapes are small. It is highly adaptable and the fruit offers a homogenous quality. The skin is thick and tough, it has a high alcohol content, medium acidity and high color potential with a major concentration of complex tannins. Its characteristic aroma, reminiscent of red peppers, uniquely sets it apart from other varieties.
