L´Encamisada in Falset, the weekend falling closest to 17 January, Saint Anthony’s Day. This festival is rooted in the legend of an ambush carried out by Falset men against the French in the 18th century, during the War of Succession. The locals won the battle, surprising the enemy on a night of thick fog by wearing white shirts. The festival consists of a parade of wagons and riders in costume, the blessing of animals, the Saint Anthony rolls and ball de coques.
